How do I know which auxiliary driving lights fit my car?

Most auxiliary driving lights and LED light bars are universal products that can be fitted to many different car models.

However, this does not mean every light fits every car without adaptations.

What do I need to check?

Mounting space

Check that there is enough space for the lights and their brackets.

Larger auxiliary lights may affect the positioning of the number plate, sensors or other components, for example.

The car’s electrical system

Modern cars may have advanced lighting control systems where a conventional control signal cannot always be taken directly from the main beam wire.

In some cases, a specific control interface or CAN-bus-compatible solution is needed.

Beam pattern

Choose a beam pattern that suits your driving.

  • Spot: Concentrated light with long range.

  • Flood: A wider beam with shorter range.

  • Combo: A combination of width and distance.

Approval

If the auxiliary lights will be used as additional main beam lights on public roads, they must meet the applicable requirements for that use.

Check the product’s approvals and any installation requirements.

Can I fit auxiliary lights to a car with LED or matrix headlights?

Yes, this is often possible, but the installation may require specific equipment so the auxiliary lights are controlled correctly alongside the car’s standard main beam.

The solution needed depends on the car model and lighting system.

If you are unsure, our customer service team can help you investigate which products and installation accessories fit your car.

Please provide the car model, model year and type of headlights fitted.
