I cannot connect to or configure my DSP. What can I do?
If you have trouble connecting your DSP to a computer or configuring it through the manufacturer’s software, there are a few things you can check.
1. Check that the DSP is switched on
Start by checking that the DSP receives power and starts as it should.
Some DSP units need to be connected to the car’s power supply to communicate with the software.
A USB connection does not necessarily mean the DSP receives enough power to start.
2. Check the connection
If the DSP connects via USB, try another USB cable or USB port.
Some USB cables are intended only for charging and do not support data transfer.
If the DSP uses Bluetooth or Wi-Fi for configuration, check that the connection has been established correctly.
3. Check the software
Check that you use the correct software for your DSP model.
The software should be downloaded from the manufacturer’s official website.
Also check that the software is compatible with the computer’s operating system and that any required drivers are installed.
4. Check whether the DSP is detected
If the software cannot find the DSP, try restarting the software and reconnecting the unit.
Also check whether the manufacturer has specific instructions for establishing the connection.
5. Check the software version and firmware
Some DSP units require the software and the unit’s firmware to be compatible.
Check whether the manufacturer offers updates for your particular model.
Only update according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Do not interrupt a firmware update in progress.
6. If the problem persists
If you still cannot connect to or configure the DSP, we need the following information:
The DSP’s brand, model and serial number.
Which computer or mobile device is used.
Which operating system is used.
Which version of the DSP software is installed.
Whether the connection is via USB, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
Whether the DSP is detected by the computer or software.
Whether any error message appears.
Whether the connection worked previously.
Which troubleshooting steps have already been carried out.
Please attach:
A screenshot of any error messages.
A screenshot showing the software version.
A photo of the connection between the DSP and computer, if relevant.
With this information, we can help you further and assess whether the problem is due to the connection, software or DSP unit itself.
