What does double-DIN mean?
Double-DIN (2-DIN) is a size standard for car stereos. A double-DIN stereo is approximately twice the height of a single-DIN (1-DIN) stereo and usually has a large touchscreen.
Double-DIN stereos often offer more features than traditional units, such as:
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto: Connect your smartphone and use compatible navigation, music and calling apps directly on the stereo screen.
Bluetooth: Play music wirelessly and make hands-free calls.
Reversing camera: Many models have an input for a reversing camera.
Sound settings: Adjust sound with an equaliser and other audio features.
Navigation and multimedia: Some models offer built-in navigation and additional multimedia features.
Available features vary between models.
Will double-DIN fit my car?
Not every car has space for a double-DIN stereo. A dedicated fascia frame, wiring harness or other installation parts may be needed for it to fit and work with the existing equipment.
